Collaboration:the action of working together to achieve and create’

Collaboration.

When your pet has an injury that requires a complicated surgery, such as repairing a broken bone or torn cruciate ligament, pet owners are traditionally faced with the need of traveling distances to an outside referral clinic for specialized care. This is often associated with significant cost, overnight hospitalizations, and environments a pet may feel unfamiliar with. Or, owners may have to pursue non-surgical management or seek less specialized surgeries that have unpredictable outcomes.

Our model of collaborative care with your local veterinary clinic allow for specialized surgeries to be provided in the comfort of your local veterinary clinic, in collaboration with your regular veterinarian who knows your pet best. Our services are an extension of your primary veterinary team who you know and trust.

How do you work with my veterinarian?

Our team works directly with your regular veterinarian to consult on your pet’s injury, and initiate a case referral to confirm diagnosis and provide the best plan of care. We then coordinate surgical services, if appropriate, with our partner veterinary teams to be performed at your local veterinary clinic.

What does my veterinarian provide?

We bring all the necessary and state of the art equipment to perform the surgery. We also provide the most novel pain-control medications that are appropriate for the surgery being performed. We pride ourselves on delivering the highest level of attention to sterility and surgical efficiency to minimize complications. Your veterinarian provides the quality anesthesia, pre-surgical bloodwork, radiographic imaging and post-operative medications needed as part of the team approach.

How do we get in contact, post-surgery?

We are available following surgery for any, and all questions, and provide owners with a direct line to access our team by text message or email 24/7. We will also provide in-person recheck evaluations, if/when necessary, to track progress of healing, or help manage any complications that arise.
